Name: Morgorin Karngroron
Age: 351 (looks about 25 in human years...)
Gender: Male
Race: Dragonling
Body Condition: Morgorin is very tall (about 6' 9") with a slightly skinny build. He has prominent wings that support his body in flight. He also has a tail that he uses somewhat like a club. One of his strangest traits (beside the wing and tail) are the gun metal gray scales on his extremities. His skin is dark gray, nearly black.
Hair: Morgorin has dark hair, though not quite black, but more of a shadow gray. His hair is short and never visible beneath his helmet.
Eyes: Almond Shaped with Flaming orange pupils.
Outfit: Morgorin wears a dark suit of light (in weight) armor, though it is able to repel arrows and some light blows from a sword. The armor used to carry a crest that features an eye overlaying a lightning bolt to symbolize his clan, though this has recently rubbed off from use. The color is similar to his skin and scales in color and is very hard to spot in a dark alley...
Home Location: His village remained unnamed throughout his life though he lived in what was known as the The Great West Pit on the Island of Vroengard
Clan Affiliation: The Might of Vroengard
Family:
Parents: His parents are just like him, Dragonlings, but they are a feral species of this kind, acting more like beasts than he does. They were killed when fighting over territory.
Siblings: Well, this is the interesting part. His kind lay eggs and in order to ensure the whole "Survival of the Fittest" they pit the newly hatched Dragonlings against each other in a battle based on instinct. There is only one survivor per litter, Morgorin was the fittest.
Character Personality: Morgorin is quick to anger and spiteful. He is conserved, though, when in the prescence of a perspective employer. Morgorin is an ambitious young... thing... and this may drive him to double cross and deceive when he may profit from it.
History: Morgorin is quick to anger and spiteful. He is conserved, though, when in the prescence of a perspective employer. Morgorin is an ambitious young... thing... and this may drive him to double cross and deceive when he may profit from it.
Character History: Dragonlings are one of the "acursed" beings that were forced on to the Island of Vroengard by Galbatorix when he vanquished the riders. The once beautiful Vroengard has fallen into desolation. It is now covered with vast dry lands and dangerous mires. The dragonling race is more civilized than originally thought, though they do have some rather barbaric traditions. The basic structure of Dragonlings is tribes, based on what traits of their original dragon forms they have. The most dragon like tribe is the Egoroba, all members of Egoroba have long snouts, webbed ears, claws, horns, wings, tails, and scales covering all parts of their bodies. The second most dragonlike, which Morgorin is part of, is the Karngroron. All members of Karngroron have scales over their extremeties (and sometimes undersides), hair on their heads, wings, tails, and otherwise human like traits. The other two tribes are the Kazgi (useless tails & wings, and some scales) and Konath (Scales covering their whole body). Each tribe has a strict social caste system, based on coloration. It is not known what the other tribes social class is to the other tribes, this is to prevent killing off of especially high ranking members of society. In Morgorin's tribe the caste system goes as follows : Green, Black, White, Blue, and Red. Morgorin falls under the High-Middle class of black, even though his scales are technically dark gray (as all are). Not all tribes have all colors, the metallic ones tending to be in Kazgi, and especially bright colors being especially constant on Egoroba. Tribes also were sperated in their magic and belief systems, though they are also unknown to the other tribes. The Karngroron believe in their god Karn, the god of civilization. He takes the form of a full grown dragon and is the patron of the storm. There magic, cooresponding with their god, is Storm magic, using lightning strikes and heavy winds to fight battles at times. In order to use their magic they need only clear their minds of everything but what they want to happen and to hold a hand to the sky. This can take anywhere from several minutes to merely a second, depending on their skill. They need no magi, still having some of their abilities from the dragon ancestors.
Morgorin started his life as an egg, waiting to hatch. When this finally occurred he was the first egg to hatch, making his odds greatest to win in the gambling of the eggs. (The gambling of the eggs is the contest described under siblings). Morgorin survived the gambling easily, defeating his fellows in less than half and hour. He was then dubbed Morgorin, after the original dragonling of his clan. The best memories of his childhood was hunting with his parents flying after the various game of the island. He lived a normal childhood and grew to a tallish size. His fondest memories are, even now, his constant battles with the other tribes and attempted genocide of the Konath. (The Konath were the outcasts and were considered disgusting by the other tribes.) His battle and magic skill gained him respect and honor among his own kind and word eventually reached the few rogue sailors that landed on the forbidden Isle in search of adventure. He began to get bored with the battles on the island, having his tribe now unchallenged, and began learning the common language used on the sea. He took off with sailors who paid him a large sum of money to fight for them.
Morgorin worked for a man named Isaak who payed for the meds to finally cure the crippling illness that had taken Morgorin's people. After he had healed them he was named their leader, as was expected. He still has some bonds with the man named Isaak but it has been so long he has nearly forgotten them. He has become much more powerful since being in charge of his entire race, as was expected due to the constant dominace battles.
He founded a mighty fighters' clan named The Might of Vroengard, in reference to himself, of course. This clan became one of the mighty seven that came to be after the fall of the Empire. (See more in Plot thread...)
Occupation: He is the ruler of his race as well as a freelancer from time to time. His clan takes on some jobs from others, leaning towards mercenary work.
Skills/Powers: Morgorin has become a top-rated swordsman, matching with even the best of the best. He has learned certain tricks of the trade over his years of experience.
Morgorin also has much skill in his own type of magic, storm control. He can send his opponents miles away with strong gusts of wind or simply incinerate them with his lightning.
As well as the above Morgorin has come to master something close to 100 weapons, having nothing else to do in his spare time.
Likes: Power, money, respect, dignity.
Dislikes: Assumptions about his kind, being poor, and being controlled.
Dreams (& reasons): For his clan to rule. He wishes this for his own good as well as his large ambition.
The below is due to the elite status, I am, and have, been offering these choices to all elite. (PM me for details...)
Familiar:
Flamepacer: Flame pacer is a recently created and raised dragon-horse hybrid. Morgorin, in his musings, hired some alchemists to come and create a mix of speed and might. He would not pay them (or let them go) until they had created something that impressed him. What they came up with was what looked like near black horse with bright orange reptilian wings. The horses head contained many dragon-like traits. Instead of the mane of the horse there was a line of spikes. The horse, they explained, could breath fire and fly very wuickly. Morgorin paid them and they left.
Weapons:
Thunder Fork: Morgorin owns one sword, which he recieved through his battles with his brethren. The grip of the sord is in the shape of a dragon with two rubies for eyes, somehow fitting perfectly to Morgorin's hand. The pommel contains one bright yellow gemstone, though what type it is is unknown. The guard in in the shape of scaly arms wrapping around and meeting at a large Peridot, the claws gripping the stone. The blade of Morgorin's sword is shaped into three prongs, with sharpened tips and edges. This makes it effective in stabbing especially, though it is not lacking in slashing effectively.
Poison Daggers: Morgorin carries an array of poisonous daggers, with varying poisons for varying purposes. These are his weapon of choice in sneak attacks, assasinations (He can throw them if need be), and when he does not intend to kill.
Knives: Two wondefully crafted fighting knives. The knives double as brass knuckles and can endure most of the abuse Morgorin would ever put them through. These are his weapons of choice in combat in close quarters and he uses them more than his other weapons.
In Flamepacer's side pack:
Maces: Morgorin has two seperate maces in the side pack, one double headed ball and chain flail mace and one Flanged Battle mace.
War Hammer: In one of Flamepacer's side packs there is a large war hammer with one flattened head and one pointed end.
Axes: In one of the side pack's that Flampacer carries are two axes, one large double headed battle axe with a dragon carved into the head and one small hand-held axe that has one head with the two edges that curve slightly outward.
Handaxe: Morgorin carries a hand-axe in one of Flampacer's bags, this has a grip in the middle with the blade fanning out from it.
Flamed Revenge: Morgorin's main weapon when riding horse back is this special spear. It has two points on the head and a curved blade on the side of the staff.
The above is not the original Morgorin, it is an advanced Morgorin created specifically for this site, as he needs to be powerful in order to rule over a clan.
